Armor For Sleep – End Of The World

Known as one of the originators of the Emo genre, Armor for Sleep made cutting your wrist and having social withdrawal trendy. Now-a-days, the hipster scene is ran by wanna by hippie indie kids who aren’t sure about their sexuality and desperately try to recreate the 1970′s. This song was actually AFS’s biggest hits, as it is featured in the original Transformers movie official soundtrack.

People today seem to be obsessed with putting a time stamp on mankind’s time here on the third rock.  Naturally, Hollywood has been taking advantage of the speculation by saturating our theaters with disaster flicks that depict an apocalyptic vision of our future. Films like 2012, Knowing, Carriers, Zombieland, I Am Legend, even Zach Snyder’s Watchmen all portray this common trend, which seems to have been even more prominent in 2009 and 2010.

In 2011 we will see a resurgence of the original disaster flick genre. The Alien/UFO phenomena disaster flick will be making a comeback, kicking things off with a Columbia Pictures film titled Battle Los Angeles. The film takes places in a galactic war torn modern-day Los Angeles. From what can been seen in the trailer, Battle Los Angeles draws shades of Independence Day. (minus a cigar smoking Will Smith engaging in hand to hand with ETs)

After reading the headline your probably wondering how on earth could this be possible. The atomic bomb was invented as a solution to end the second World War. That was only a little over 60 years ago, right?

While there are hints of great blastings of the earth´s surface in the Bible (Sodom and Gomorrah), today we have physical evidence of these ancient blast. In what is now home to the nations of India and Pakistan lies a wonderous and mysterious ancient desert city called Mohenjo-Daro. The ruins of this ancient  city are astonishing. They are thought to have been home to well over a million people. The most astonishing of these discoveries are those of human remains that were recently unearthed. Excavations down to the street level revealed 44 skeletons, as if death had come so suddenly they could not get to their houses. All the skeletons were flattened to the ground. A father, mother and child were found flattened in the street, face down and still holding hands. The most interesting thing about this site is that the remains have been tested and are highly radioactive! Meaning that the entire area was exposed to a massive amount of radiation at one point. What is more startling is the recent discovery of deserts that contain green-glass particles in India. Why is this a big deal? Because we all know what happens when you mix cataclysmic heat with sand, the result is a greenish tinted glass.

In addition to this physical evidence, we have written testimony to the events that took place so long ago. The Mahabarata is the Hindu equivalent of the Holy Bible. And in the Mahabarata there are numerous accounts of a catastrophic battle that took place on earth. It also describes a blast that rocked the Asian continent and destroyed everything in its path. Here are a few translated passages from the Mahabarata. Remember these passages were written nearly 3000 years ago.

“A single projectile charged with all the power in the Universe…An incandescent column of smoke and flame as bright as 10,000 suns, rose in all its splendor…it was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes an entire race.

“The corpses were so burned as to be unrecognizable. Their hair and nails fell out, pottery broke without any apparent cause, and the birds turned white.

“After a few hours, all foodstuffs were infected. To escape from this fire, the soldiers threw themselves into the river.”

The truth is, we have all been taught since childhood that we are living in the most advanced times. All of the scientific, geological and historic evidence has shown us that humanity has reached its greatest technologic feats in our lifetime. But what if all of that was wrong. What if there were great societies on earth long before that we are aware of.

The estimation that the Mohenjo-Daro population was nearly 1,000,000 is incorrect. This estimation pertains to the entire Indus Valley civilization. The city of Mohenjo-Daro was one of many cities that were part of the Indus Valley civilization between 3300–1300 BCE.
